The Taj Mahal was created by the Mughal emperor Shahjaha in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaaz. It is created in the shape of a crown therefore it was named "Crown Fort" i.e. Taj Mahal in Urdu. Mumtaaz, the queen of Shahjaha was buried under the Tajmahal. The fort of Shahjaha is also located near Agra city at Fatehpur Sikri. Just facing Tajmahal, there is a mosque the emperor used to worship Allah for the good of the spirit of her wife queen Mumtaaz. In India and throughout the world, the Tajmahal is known as the symbol of eternal love. People in India who love, gift small models of the Tajmahal to their beloved one.
The Pyramids were built by the emperors for two reasons, one - they believe on the life after death and two - they wanted to stay higher from the other people even after death. The emperors were buried in the Pyramids when they were dead.
Each emperor created a pyramid for themselves and their queens when they were alive. Some took up to 20 years to complete. There are various types of Pyramids, large and small. In the pyramids, there are secret shafts which are believed to be the path for God's angels. They are highly technical, i.e. there are special arrangements of sunlight and air passage.
The emperors were buried with a lot of treasure believed to help them being royal in the God's place too. Just because of this treasure, many of the great Pyramids were looted and destroyed since the treasure were kept at the most secured position within the Pyramids.
